         <description><![CDATA[<p>Factory owners supported prohibition as it caused less accidents and allowed workers to be more efficient. There was also a decline in arrests for people under the influence and a 30% drop in alcohol consumption. Prohibition also caused the creation of bootlegging and speakeasies. </p>]]></description>
