I used to think it can be

I used to think that Edtech was something difficult to carry out especially when we are always facing issues on time constraints.

Now I think it is possible to try out the apps or websites that the other LSCs have shared.

I used to use the EPIC app without fully knowing the needs of my LSP students. Some students may be able to read more advanced books but some are unable to.

Now I plan to consider the specific needs of the LSP students in my class and to consider exploring other apps/websites to further engage my students.

Now I think the use of the apps must align to what your intended purpose of use, whether it complements the content, curriculum and teaching pedagogies in LSP.

I used to think that it is difficult for the students to use Edtech tools as they have difficulty typing.

Now, I think that with consistent training, it is possible. I am encouraged to try after hearing from the presenters.

Now, I think …with the checklist, it can help evaluate the app to ensure that it is parallel with the LSP syllabus.

I used to access and expose my students to LSP resources in SLS to align to the lesson

S & S.

Now I plan to explore other Ed Tech tools using the evaluation checklist shared and of course considering my students' diverse profile and the intent of my lesson to incorporate technology to engage my students and make meaning to the lesson.

I used to think it is very time-consuming searching and choosing for the right and applicable Edtech tools in teaching LSP.

Now I think with the use of the evaluation checklist, it should help a lot.

I used to get the students to say out those words repeatedly and try their best to say it out with confidence, plus creating simple sentences.

Now I plan to use I-pad at least fortnightly , especially for those who can read the sight words,. then they can qualify to use the devices....hahaha!!

I used to think it's a hassle to do all the logistics of an Edtech lesson, having to prepare and spend time on training students to log-in etc.

Now I think that students learn HOW TO LOG-IN fast and with pre-assessment, students start at a level appropriate for them and really enjoy lessons as they achieve each level in the app. Teachers can be creative and explore the app.

I have not used Ed Tech to supplement my teaching of the LSP Syllabus. I think the teaching the LSP syll using the lesson plan should be used 1^st. The students’ basic foundation knowledge of sounds and blending skills must be taught well 1^st, b4 using these apps.

Now I plan to … try the apps shared and use it for my ERP, IEP and GEP sessions
