The band name is vertically opposite the album name , this introduces the band first and then the album to the consumer. Using grey allows the wording to stand out clearly against the black boarder whilst conforms to the black/white/grey colour scheme of the cover. One for Kurt Cobain , One for Krist Novoselic , and one for the then drummer Chad Channing. The colour scheme of the inlay is more image based , using a white trimmed boarder to frame the sectioned image. Conventionally , a digipak contains other forms of artwork centered around the albums , perhaps some trial shots of the album cover or conceptual art centered around the albums theme , this album however shows the band members together in a car , colours in this shot can be seen as conventional to the genre as there is no theme and so the photography production alludes to a low budget common in debut albums in the indie rock genre.
