The first thing that I learned about Tokugawa Japan is one of the main goals of the "Tokugawa shogunate" was to make sure all christianity was far away from Japan. Another thing I learned was this was also known as the Edo Period that took place between 1603 and 1868, when Japan was under rule of the Tokugawa shogunate. Finally, the last thing I learned was Japan started to shift to the Urban cities. Edo had then eventually grown from a small town to the world's largest city.

All of the christians tried to convert the Japanese, they kept doing this over and over until finally the Ieyasu made a choice to ban all of the Christians from Japan. The Japanese were then practically forced to enhance Buddhism and demonstrate it. This got rid of every Christian in Japan.
