When it comes to trends they don’t feel important to my personal style and I am not one to follow every trend. I don’t want to constantly change my style to fit what is currently popular, especially in a time in fashion where trends come and go so quickly, where fast fashion brands are just pushing micro trend after micro trend, creating so much waste and environmental issues. If I like a trend I will incorporate it into my style but in my own way and usually that evolves to style it differently to other people. Recently, I loved the ‘ballet core’ trend. It has become a massive part of my look, however I would say I was quite quick to this before it was in many high street stores. 

I like to find inspiration from tv, music, films, and some fashion influencers, some being: Sofia Mcoelho, Chloe Fratern, Oliven Gcanty, and Millie Hannah. I draw inspiration from musicians like: Olivia Rodrigo, Stevie Nicks, Lana Del Rey, and lots of 70’s and 80’s rock bands; mixing so many different styles into on look. 

My particular subject of research was the history and architecture of Covent Garden. A lot of my research was found from secondary research, which I found quite interesting and insightful. However, once we attended the area it gave me a vision for how the area would have looked in the past compared to modern day, to see how much it has changed over time with it becoming more of a tourist attraction. 

I thought our presentation was clear and concise, and we were able to translate what Covent Garden is like to an audience. We each talked about our own contributions to the research. We worked well as a group, however if we were to re do this task again I think we should have come back together as a group before writing up all our research for our PowerPoint. As we did our slides individually, many of us had similar information, despite having different topics of research, which made the presentation feel a bit repetitive: making us go over the ten minuet allocated time.
