The Homes that the eastern woodlands people made were usally wigwams but they also built teepees. They harvested birch bark to cover there wigwams like in the video in the environmental features text. It also took thirty sessions of bark to cover one wigwam. Once they got all the sessions of bark they would poke holes through the birch bark to tie the whole house together. these unique homes were important to the eastern woodlands for shelter.

The Great Plains people built tepees. They started with three main sticks then added from there. They put buffalo hides over to cover the tepees. It took eighteen buffalo hides to cover one tepee. It was also very hard to get the buffalo hides on because the hides are very heavy. Once they finished setting up the tepee they dug out a hole in the middle for a fire pit to keep warm on cold night or to cook. They would also put back rest in the tepees to rest when needed. They would also open a hole at the top of the tepee to let out smoke well having a fire.
