Choose two fashion magazines from the list (e.g. Vogue, Elle, GQ, etc.). Use hard copies if available, or look online.

• Analyse the front covers.

• Comment on style decisions by the photographer/team.

• Discuss lighting, posing, colour use, and overall effectiveness.

• Identify the cover theme.

• Find out who was involved (photographer, art director, stylists, make-up artist, etc.).

• Research the photographer’s other work.

• Add findings to your Fashion Research Document.

Task 2 – Preparation for Your Front Cover Shoot – Moodboard

• Choose a film as the theme for your shoot and explain your choice.

• Create a moodboard (digital or physical) including:

  • Film scenes

  • Colour palette

  • Portraits/paintings (optional)

  • Clothing, fabrics, props

  • Fashion shoot examples (optional)

  • Posing ideas/drawings

  • Lighting ideas/diagrams/examples

  • Any other relevant inspiration

• Pick TWO fashion editorial photographers.

• For each photographer, choose TWO images (total = FOUR images).

• Answer the questions below for each image.

   • How does the sequence of photos tell the story?

   • What is different from image to image?
