Before students enter the room and while they are entering the room they should know what they are about to do. You should be a step ahead of them with what they are about to do. This is a part of classroom management. Do not wait until students unpack and take a seat to give them their assignments. "I love the way you are standing in line, sitting, showing manners, being respectful......"

"Thank you for following the correct procedure"

"That was a great answer!"
