Taking classes in zoom was both inconvenient and a special experience.
In Week 4, I read the article about COVID-19 that the professor designated and answered the words, the Comprehension Quiz, and the Discussion question. I found words I didn't know and I could see how to deal with COVID-19 in terms of welfare. When I read articles, I often accept them unconditionally and don't criticize them. Through this class, I realized Week4's articles have opinions than facts. And I was able to develop my ability to distinguish between good articles and bad articles.
It was uncomfortable to express my opinion through zoom, but it was comfortable to find the answer to the quiz by organizing it in a file before class. So, I was able to prepare for the class more clearly.

In Week 10, Group 5 made their first presentation through zoom. Even though they made the presentation online, I was more focused than I thought and it was quite fun to talk in small groups for the sake of discussion. Especially, the people who were in the same group at this time were close to me, so it was comfortable and fun. And I remember that group 5's topic was digital sex crimes, and when I wrote down a lot of my opinions for discussion, the group leader complimented me by saying that I had prepared a lot. And when asked if the government was coping well with the N-Bang incident, the group members were divided, so the discussion was interesting because they were asking each other, 'Why do you think so?' It was also good that all members of the group agreed with my opinion that tough punishment for sex offenders is needed. All the other days were good, but by gaining the agreements of the group members, it was a better day to discuss with comfortable people.

Because I usually don't speak in English, but I used English in this class. At first, other members of the group used almost Korean except when they were leading the group's discussion, but as time went by, they spoke only in English. And I showed good participation in the last week of the week14 group discussion, continuing to talk about electric scooters. I can't say that my English has grown dramatically through this class, but I think my English skills have improved by searching for words I don't know and reading English articles before class every week.
