We didn’t have any individualized technology when I was a student, we only had a computer lab that we would go to once a week

We used an Elmo (or whatever it’s called lol) in the classroom. I did not have access to using iPads/computers in the classroom until I was in high school. The students I’m with now have chromebooks that they can take home and we use a smart board.

I remember having Chromebooks in middle school but was mostly used for at home. In elementary school, anytime we needed to type anything, we would do it in the library.

When I was in elementary school, all we really had/used was those big PC computers. Finally towards 7th-8th grade we started using iPads. However, our teachers did have those “Smart” Boards where the little markers that came with it never worked properly.

I remember having an overhead? If thats what it was called haha. I don't remember having a lot of technology available to use until I was in middle school. At my placement school I feel like students are on their chrome books most of the day or using it most of the day.

I feel like there was always something new. I’ve had the box tvs to room projector. There was also the black and white overhead where you had to use translucent pieces to get color to then the colored Elmo. Also PCs to iPads.

In elementary school, we had overhead projectors, interactive white boards, and a computer lab. Now, my students have gamified lesson practice though websites such as Kahoot/Blooket and 1 to 1 chromebooks.

We had a smart board that was super engaging. We also had a computer lab. We had chromebooks. We didn't really have gamification as present as it is now.

In elementary school, my school had projectors with clear sheets under a lamp. My teachers would display and solve word problems or sentence structures on those clear sheets. Now, as a student teacher, I use the smart board to project each lesson. It is also a learning opportunity where students can come up to the board. Like Jaycee mentioned, I also display a timer during literature circles and math centers.

I used to not use any technology except for computer days in the library. Now, we use the projector a lot so the students can follow along, the students independent work is all online, and more activities are online

The technology I used in elementary school was very different. I remember being in tech class as a special, but we didn’t use it in class very much. There may have been one time in 2nd grade that I got into a computer to practice spelling, but that was it!
