This multigenre project shows the adventurous story of Romeo and Juliet. The play, "Romeo and Juliet", is about two young kids who fall deeply in love even though there families were major enemies. This classic play is a story of love, conflict, and family. This projects subgenres were chosen to represent many characters from the play, and illustrate the major theme presented in Romeo and Juliet: Lust and love have an impact on relationships. We see this in Romeo and Juliet because the two kids have a, "love at first sight" moment. This is an example of lust, but as time goes on they have more of an emotional bond, which is love. Both of these things cause there bond to be stronger than ever and eventually leads to them killing themselves for the other. My hope is that you learn more about the character's and play through this presentation!

I chose these books for Juliet because all of the books are about love, romance, relationships, and troubles. All of these topics are prominent in Juliet's life, so I believe she will really enjoy these books. I decided to make a booklist for Juliet because I think it would be fun for her to read and it would help her fix some of the problems she had within her life if she read about them.

In the play, Juliet says, " My only love sprung from my only hate! Too early seen unknown, and known too late!" (Rom.5.138), and this not only reflects the theme, but also many parts of West Side Story. West Side Story is very similar to the Romeo and Juliet and is a book I put on Juliet's book list. The quote Juliet said illustrates West Side Story because in this book the Jets and the Sharks are fighting and can't get along, just like the Capulets and Montagues can't get along. This also expresses the major theme in Romeo and Juliet because it shows us that the love Juliet had for Romeo, regardless of there family problems, caused their relationship and bond to grow stronger than ever. This also happens in West Side Story, which is why it is a great book to express the theme and for Juliet to read!

I chose to make an award for Romeo. I decided to make the award for Romeo being the quickest person to ever fall for a girl at first sight. This is a key part of the play, "Romeo and Juliet", which is why I made Romeo an award for it. I think it would be beneficial for Romeo to get this award because it isn't necessarily an amazing thing, but it is a great example of how lust is used in the play.

In, "Romeo and Juliet", Romeo says, "Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight!" (Rom. 5. 52-53). This quote expresses the major theme in Romeo and Juliet because it is talking about Romeo falling in love with Juliet at first sight. This is an example of lust and in the play this lust turned into deep love, which ultimately led to such a strong relationship that they killed themselves for the other. This is a reason why I made an award for Romeo talking about his "love at first sight" moment, because it explains the theme very well.

For the fourth subgenre of this project, I made Friar Laurence's Recipe to Romeo and Juliet's Death. This is a recipe including all of the things that led to the two young lovers death. When Friar Laurence created his plan for Juliet to live with Romeo, it sounded great. But, quickly everything went wrong and it ended with Romeo and Juliet dead together in the Capulets vault. So, if you ever need a recipe to have two young lovers from opposing families dead in a vault, I hope you enjoy!

In the play, Romeo says, "Here's to my love! O true apothecary, Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die" (Rom.5.119). This quote not only reflects the theme of the play, but also explains why I made a recipe to Romeo and Juliet's death. Their love and lust for each other got so strong that there relationship was impacted forever. They wanted to be together so bad that they killed themselves for each other. This is explained in the quote above by Romeo, where he is talking about drinking the poison so he can die and be with Juliet. This shows us just how strong and impactful love can be!

For this subgenre I decided to make a wanted poster for Friar Laurence. I made this because if it wasn't for his plan and helping Romeo and Juliet get married so quickly, Romeo and Juliet would never have died. This wanted poster includes a picture of the Friar, the reason why he is wanted, and a cash price if you find him. We all know that Friar Laurence didn't have any intentions in killing the young lovers, but his plan was wrecked and there was nothing he could do about it. So, if you ever end up finding Friar Laurence's body, please turn it in because it is very important, oh and you get a little bit of money.

In the play, Friar Laurence says, "Unhappy fortune! The letter was not nice, but full of charge, of dear import" (Rom.3.146), and "Come, come with me, and we will make short work; For, by your leaves, you shall not stay alone Till holy church incorporate two in one" (Rom.6.35). These quotes not only do an excellent job of displaying the theme, but also explains why Friar Laurence is wanted. The two quotes talk about how the Friar helped marry the young lovers and how his planned failed. Both of these things tie to the theme because when the Friar married Romeo and Juliet it sparked the first real love rather than lust between the two kids, and when his planned failed it made a huge impact on the kids relationship because it caused both of there deaths. This expresses to us just how powerful a plan can be!

For my last subgenre I created a sticker collection for Juliet. Some of the stickers include a balcony, Romeo, Love at first sight, Paris, and a quote. All of these stickers represent things that Juliet like or dislikes, and moments that have happened in her life. I chose a sticker of Romeo because Juliet had a deep love for Romeo, so I think she would put Romeo on her water bottle. I decided to make the sticker collection because there are many events that happened in Juliet's life during the play that she wouldn't want to forget, so putting these things on a water bottle would help her relive these moments.

In the play, Juliet says, "My bounty is as boundless as the sea, My love as deep; the more I give to thee, The more I have, for both are infinite" (Rom.2.140). This quote shows Juliet's massive love for Romeo and reflects the major theme presented in the play. This is the main reason I put this quote on Juliet's sticker collection. This quote reflects the theme because it is talking about Juliet's deep love for Romeo and as we all know this deep love led to many impacts in their relationship. Some of these impacts included Romeo's exile, Juliet being told she is going to marry Paris, and most prominently the young lovers death. This illustrates to us just how powerful emotional connection is.
