First of all, I have to say that I really enjoy to discuss the "How it all began". It is very interesting to talk about all the process of something, mainly, language learning.
It is very interesting to know that in the first phase, GRAMMAR was the major "skill" to learn a new language, kids and adults used to learn grammar to learn the L2.
Nowadays, our approaches are very different. My students don't even know what grammar is and how they are learning it. We play, we draw and sing lots of songs.
In my opinion, it is very important to know the first steps to improve our journey.

Now, I want to talk about our recent methods of teaching languages.
We are living a revolution on education due to this COVID-19 pandemic. And after a year of remote study, we must review and rebuild our practices to teach kids that have access to all types of content on the internet.
I believe that the RECENT DEVELOPMENT is is constantly changing and, as good teachers, we must follow this phase.
