FOR WHOM??? EXPLAIN America's economic growth as "sectionalism" - and how this led to social change (Arcadian, antebellum "plantation-economies of the Southern coastal states vs. manufacturing cities of the Northeast, and the backcountry West or Appalachia). How did the "shadow-sides" lead to growth of “social liberalisms” at the start of MASS IMMIGRATION. Poor Irish immigrant workers, enslaved African-Americans, and hardscrabble backcountry farmers and pioneers were doing a lot of the "heavy-lifting" to expand the early Republic in terms of territorial, political, and economic growth.
