These points of data are given by co-ordinates for the x and y axis: such as (3,4) the first co-ordinate represents the x axis and the second represents the y axis, with a comma to separate the two.


The use of co-ordinates can help us plot lines, work out gradients, and help identify if two lines are parallel or perpendicular to one another.
