Based on what I've read Atticus is a good father and person, as well as a very considerate and generous man. In the text it states: "Jem and I found our father satisfactory: he played with us, read to us and treated us with courteous detachment." This shows how Atticus was as not just a father but a person. One thing I learned is that the town Maycomb had many unwritten rules/morals including keeping your doors closed on a Sunday was a sign of illness and cold weather only. I also learned that the Radelys were very reserved and quiet and didn't follow the typical norms of being a Maycomb resident. One question I have is why were the Radelys so reserved and quiet?
