Hello, I am Deniz BOZDEMIR. I work as a pre-school teacher at Nene Hatun kindergarten in Buca district of Izmir. Music, painting, drama, nature walks and sports are some of my interests. I care about my students keeping up with the technological developments of the new age, integrating project-based learning into my plans, learning with different methods and techniques, and interacting with nature. I am on the Etwinning platform to communicate, collaborate, develop and share projects with teachers in different countries. I'm excited to be a part of this community. The most important thing I value in teaching is primarily contributing to children's personality development and raising sensitive, tolerant, and ethical individuals.

The importance of nature in child development is undeniable. The connection between our children and nature has significantly decreased in this era, due to the rapid growth of science and technology. However, I believe that works encouraging children's environmental awareness and focusing on the value of nature are supportive in this regard. For this reason, I support nature-friendly projects like this eTwinning project.

TED İzmir College Kindergarten offers a safe and loving learning environment that supports children's individual development with a modern educational approach. Our school implements innovative teaching methods to best support our students' social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Through play-based learning, STEM activities, foreign language education, and nature-integrated practices, we help children develop their exploration, inquiry, and creative thinking skills. This school year, I locally implemented the educational project "Superhero for a Better World," which brought together 75 teachers and over 200 children. I strongly believe that the world would be a better place if we were all kinder to one another.
