    I learned matter and mixtures. Matter is anything that has mass and volume. Mixture can be divided into two categories, homogeneous or heterogeneous mixtures. 
Also, I learned about chemical changes and physical changes. Chemical changes differ with physical changes by how they produce a new substance.
    I learned food chain and food web. I learned producer, primary consumer, secondary consumer, final consumer, and decomposers. I also learned the 4 spheres of the Earth (Geosphere, Biosphere, Atmosphere, and Hydrosphere).

Matter is basically solid, liquid, and gas mass is how much it weighs, and volume is how much it takes place.

Physical changes are changes that can be returned into its original position chemical changes are changes that cannot turn back to its original position. 

Food chain is simple version of food web, and food web is how animals eat animals/plants. Producers make their own food and produce food for consumers, consumers are mostly animals who eat other animals or eating producers, including carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores. Decomposers are objects that try to decompose things into missing parts. Cycles were oxygen cycle, nutrient cycle, carbon cycle, and water cycle. 

Photosynthesis means a plant producing sugar and oxygen which needs CO2, water, and sunlight. We then learned about physical and chemical changes and the law of conservation of mass. We know that mass is mainly in four states: solid, liquid, gas, and plasma. Ice cube is a solid state but when it melt it is water, a liquid state. A gas state is the air and a plasma state is the gas full of electricity. 

Then in book two, we learned the plant structures and how they grow. We learned photosynthesis, which I think is very interesting. The tissues inside the plants, xylem and phloem all have their jobs. And the stomata is on the leaf of the plant. It can close and open which is useful to the plants. We then learned ecosystems with abiotic and biotic factors in it. Sometimes invasive species cause harm to the ecosystems. The predator will also eat prey. The animals interact with each other, and animals interact with plants too.We also learned about the energy flow of the producer, consumer and decomposers, which is shown on food web and food chain. We learned about water cycle, nitrogen cycle, and carbon cycle. We learned about the four spheres too: the atmosphere, geosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere.
