• Each class from PKG-Grade 5 has four student champions

• These students are responsibile for supporting different areas of the school community

• Sustainability Champion: Using recycling bins, turning off class lights, cafeteeria clean up, promoting being principled and caring for the environment

• Inclusion Champion: Welcoming and being a new student buddy, helping ensure everyone is included during play, promoting tolerance and open-mindedness

• Wellbeing Champion: Helping students with regulation strategies, leading wellbeing Wednesdays, promoting balance and caring for classmates

• Engagement Champion: Supporting students with learning, helping distribute learning resources, and discussing Golden Book/Top Dog recipients for the week, promoting knowledge and understanding

Guest speaker experiences have included interviewing CIS staff, parents and experts. CIS has also organized expert speakers to come and present to students about safety and health related concepts during the academic year
