TOPIC: ADAB IN SEEKING KNOWLEDGE

• We shared our perspectives and experiences about adab in seeking knowledge and each of us had been knew about new things while discussing about this topic.

1) HADITH JIBRIL

• During this usrah session, the facilitator shared an information about Hadith Jibril. He also shared us a story about the meeting of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and a man that is wearing very white clean clothes.

• The man asked the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) about 3 things, which is about Islam, Iman and Ihsan.

• The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) replied the ones he knew with facts, and he replied with "The one questioned knows no more than the questioner." Or in how we always say, "wallahua'lam" with the ones he didn't know.

• The lesson that I learnt from this usrah session is that if we don't know or uncertain about something, we can't just say false information or create assumptions about it because it will mislead the person asking the question, and may lead to fitnah.

are the six fundamental beliefs in Islam that every Muslim must uphold. These pillars define a Muslim's faith and serve as the foundation of their spiritual beliefs. Let's discuss 3 of 6 pillars of Iman (Faith)

Belief in Allah(Tawheed)

• The firm belief that Allah is the one and only God, without partners or equals.

• He is the Creator, Sustainer, and the only one worthy or worship.

• His names and attributes are unique, and nothing is comparable to Him.

Belief in Angels(Mala'ika)

• Angels are created from light and serve Allah, carrying out His commands without question.

• They do not have free will and perform duties such as delivering revelation (e.g, Angel Jibril), recording deeds, and taking souls.

Belief in Prophet

• In Islam, belief in prophets is one of the six articles of faith. Muslims believe that God has sent prophets throughout history to guide humanity.

• These prophets include Adam, Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa, Isa, and Muhammad, among others. Muslims believe that all prophets taught the same basic message: the oneness of Allah and the importance of worshipping Him alone.

• They also believe that prophets are human beings chosen by Allah to receive and convey His message.

• Muslims are expected to believe in all the prophets, not just Muhammad.

1. Belief in Books (Kutub)

• As we all know, Allah revealed scriptures to His messengers as guidance for humanity.

• Next, the main revealed books include the Tawrah, Zabur, Injil, and the Quran, which is the final and preserved revelation.

  
  

2. Belief in Qiyamah

   • Belief in Qiyamah, or the Day of Judgment, is a fundamental tenet of Islam.

   • Muslims believe that this world will come to an end one day, and all of humanity will be resurrected to stand before God for judgement.

   • Resurrection: Muslims believe that after death, all individuals will be resurrected, regardless of their status, creed, or beliefs. This resurrection will be physical, and every person will be held accountable for their actions in this life.

3. Belief in Qada' and Qadar

   • Belief in Qada' and Qadar is another fundamental aspect of Islamic faith.

   • It deals with the concept of divine decree and predestination.

   • Qada' (Divine Decree): This refers to God's knowledge and plan for everything that will happen in the universe, from the beginning of time to its end. It encompasses all events, big and small, and is recorded in the "Preserved Tablet" (Lawh al-Mahfuz).

   • Qadar (Divine Predestination): This refers to the actualization of God's decree, the unfolding of events in the way that God has willed them to happen. It is the implementation of Qada' in the reality of time and space.

While the exact timing is known only to God, Islamic tradition describes various signs that will precede this momentous event. These signs are generally categorized into minor and major signs.

• The Prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him): Muslims believe that Prophet Muhammad's arrival was the final message and a sign that the end of times was approaching.

• The splitting of the moon: This miraculous event is mentioned in the Quran and is considered a sign of the closeness of the Hour.

  Major Signs:

• These are more dramatic and significant events that will occur closer to the Day of Judgment, signaling its imminent arrival.

  Some of the major signs include:

• The Dajjal (Antichrist): A figure of immense evil and deception, the Dajjal will appear, claiming divinity and leading many astray.

• A fire that will drive people to the place of gathering: A massive fire will push people towards the location where they will be gathered for judgment.
