Something else that I have started to incorporate in my class this month was classcraft. I learned about this during the HRCE Innovation Day this year.

Artifact 1:This is gamification on a whole new level. Students create avatars and complete tasks assigned by classroom teachers. Students are awarded HP's for being kind to one another and working as a team in the classroom. HP points can also be taken away for inappropriate behaviour towards others. I am very excited to get this up and running in my room this month!

Introduction: 

My students use a few different sites to further their learning.  The three main sites that I have used this year and in previous years have been, powtoon, quizizz, and scratch. These sites introduce students to new ways to show their learning. Powtoon allows students to create teaching videos, quizizz is a quick competitive game, and scratch is a website that introduces students to coding. Students can get frustrated when things do not go as planned, but I have never had anyone totally give up yet.

Students have started creating their video games this year, and are working towards a finished product. I have included a finished game from last year in order to show what a finished one will look like. 

Teaching idea!

One teaching idea that I enjoyed from a classmate was Dwayne Slobodnick . He used google slides to create a choose your own adventure, and my own students are very familiar with google slides, so I know that it is something that they would really enjoy creating. This is a powtoon with my final overall thoughts. Keeping students interested, connected, and motivated is important for students to successfully reach the learning goals!

This final reflection was made as a process of what I have learned throughout this course. I enjoyed the texts that we have read, and one take away that will stick with me is to keep students challenged, motivated, engaged, and to create memorable lessons.
