He brought Ben back to his cousin Carl, who had an ambulance truck. They brought both of them back to the hospital. Brady was sent back to school some days later, and his mom pulled Brady out of school. He had made a butterfly garden for Mrs. DiAngelo, and she was excited. She gave Brady Ben's guinea pig because she didn't want to be reminded of him. Brady took it and cared for it. Later, when on his boat, he had found his father's drill in the river, with red paint on it. What they didn't know was that Mrs. DiAngelo and Ben were going on the kayak, and they almost drowned. They wanted to hide it from Brady because they knew that he would tell the cops. Brady went to Digger's house and Brady lied to Digger saying that the drill was at the beach. Brady left, and later went to the beach. His suspicions were confirmed when Digger was at the beach, looking for the drill. He told the lawyer everything, and the lawyer promised that nothing would happen to him. Later, on court, Brady told as the witness of what he had found. J.T. and Digger was there, and Digger apologized, and also said that nothing should come to Brady. J.T. and Digger were handcuffed, with their parents behind them, and Brady almost yelled at the cops. Setting: In a town, close to a river in Maryland.
Internal Conflict: "Person vs. Self" Brady wasn't able to save Ben, even if he tried his best, and he believes that it's his fault.
External Conflict: "Person vs. Person" Brady has 2 friends, J.T. and Digger, who have ignored Brady after Ben's death. Brady kept on wondering why they keep on ignoring him.

I didn't relate to anyone in the book because I never had that feeling of being ignored.
