1. How big is the alpine goat you may ask? Mature females should stand not less than 30 inches at the withers and should weigh not less than 135 pounds. Males should stand from 34 to 40 inches at the withers and should weigh not less than 170 pounds.

3.  Where does the alpine goat originate from? The Alpine goat originates from the Pashang breed (also known as the Bezoar) which came from the Middle East. Archaeologists discovered the bones of a Pashang goat that died around 12,000 – 15,000 years ago.
