         <title>Escherichia coli      (E. Coli) (Pad 2)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Prokaryotes are unicellular organisms that lack a nucleus and membrane-bound organelles. They are divided into two domains: Bacteria and Archaea. For Example Escherichia coli (<em>E. coli</em>) is bacteria found in the intestines of humans and animals. While most types are harmless, some, like Shiga toxin-producing <em>E. coli</em> (STEC), can cause serious illness. STEC is often linked to undercooked meat, raw milk, or vegetables contaminated with animal feces. The bacteria mostly come from cattle but can also be found in other animals. People get sick from eating contaminated food, drinking dirty water, or coming into contact with infected animals or people. Symptoms include stomach pain, diarrhea (sometimes bloody), vomiting, and fever. Severe cases, especially in children and the elderly, can lead to kidney failure (HUS), which is life-threatening. To prevent infection, cook meat thoroughly (70°C or 160°F), wash produce, avoid cross-contamination, and wash your hands regularly. The WHO promotes food safety practices and helps manage outbreaks.</p>]]></description>
