We have a child in one of our gymnastics classes that I thought it would be best to use this method on. He struggles with instruction and is a very high energy child. Most of the time when he gets too energized he becomes aggressive with the other children or encourages them to do things that are against the rules. We emailed the mother and grandmother because that is who he spends most of his time with and asked them if they could come in early and talk with us. We asked them what they feel works best when he gets in that headspace. They said that repetition works best for him and then asked what they could do. We asked them to just let us know if there are any techniques that work better for him or that he responds better to. We also asked them to just remind him of the rules at the gym during the car ride over. So far it has seemed to help! He is a very energetic child, and we don't expect him to change that. Our main concern was safety of the children, and we have noticed him become less aggressive.
