What do you remember from our first Grade 3 unit of Non-Fiction reading? Think about these questions as you respond - What are the features of NF texts? How do we read NF Texts differently from fiction texts? What else do you remember about our NF unit of reading?

I remember we chose a book about one topic and we read it a couple of times and checked how the author used the details and what impact the details made. We also typed on a Padlet about what we like about non fiction and what we don't like. We took a photo of our Boxes and Bullets. The different details in a Non Fiction Book were: Table of Contents, Sub Headings, Glossary, Zoom In, Pictures, Comparison, Did You Know Boxes, Maps, and many more. In Non Fiction you don't have to read from the start because there is no story.
