I think the Thai New Year's national holiday. Songkran is on 13 April every year, but the holiday period extends from 14 to 15 April. In 2018 the Thai cabinet extended the festival nationwide to seven days, 9–16 April, to enable citizens to travel home for the holiday.^[1] In 2019, the holiday was observed 9–16 April as 13 April fell on a Saturday.^[2] The word "Songkran" comes from the Sanskrit word saṃkrānti,^[3] literally "astrological passage", meaning transformation or change. It coincides with the rising of Aries on the astrological chart^[4] and with the New Year of many calendars of Southeast and South Asia, in keeping with the Buddhist and Hindu Calendar. The New Year takes place at around the same time as the new year celebrations of many regions of South Asia like China (Dai people of Yunnan Province), India, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Nepal......

In Egypt, Children's Day is celebrated every 20 November with festivals and games for children, but not in every city like Cairo, Alexandria, etc.

In Nigeria Children’s day is a public holiday for Primary and Secondary school children. .The children are usually given treats such as an outing or doing jobs that adults would normally do. In some situations, primary and secondary school children compete in military parades format for a prize which will be given at the end of the competition. Religious groups in Nigeria also celebrate children's day in grand style. Many private and public organizations usually put together children's party for privileged and less privileged children in a bid to give them a sense of belonging. It is also a day media organizations analyze the plight of children in the society and efforts government and non-government agencies make to better a lot of children

Children's Day is celebrated across India to increase awareness of the rights, care and education of children. It is celebrated on 14 November every year as a tribute to India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru.Fondly known as "Chacha Nehru" among children, he advocated for children to have a fulfilling education. On this day, many educational and motivational programs are held across India, by and for children.

In Thailand, New Year is now officially celebrated 1 January. Songkran was the official New Year until 1888, when it was switched to a fixed date of 1 April. Then in 1940, this date was shifted to 1 January. The traditional Thai New Year Songkran was transformed into a national holiday.^[5] Celebrations are famous for the public water fights framed as ritual cleansing.

The three nights leading up to each day of a procession are sequentially called yoiyoiyoiyama, yoiyoiyama, and yoiyama. During these yoiyama evenings, Kyoto's downtown area is reserved for pedestrian traffic, and some traditional private houses near the floats open their entryways to the public, exhibiting family heirlooms in a custom known as the Folding Screen Festival, Byōbu Matsuri). Additionally, the streets are lined with night stalls selling food such as yakitori(barbecued chicken on skewers), taiyaki, takoyaki(fried octopus balls), okonomiyaki, traditional Japanese sweets, and many other culinary delights.

The festival is held typically from mid April to late May or early June. The best time to see the flowers varies from year to year but usually falls into the first three weeks of May. Approximately 800,000 stalks of shibazakura of five varieties are on display, producing delightful fields of pink, white and purple colors in different hues. Festival stalls selling pots of pink moss, shibazakura-themed souvenirs, food and local produce complete the experience.

As the venue of the Fuji Shibazakura Festival can get quite crowded due to its popularity, it is advisable to avoid visiting on weekends or over the Golden Weekholidays. Visiting early in the mornings is generally good to avoid congestion and for good visibility, although lighting for photos tends to be better in the afternoon.

According to scholarly research, the origins of this traditional Mexican festival can be traced back to hundreds of years of indigenous commemorations and an Aztec festival dedicated to the goddess Mictecacihuatl. In Spain, festivals and processions are held, and at the end of the day, people gather in cemeteries to pray for their dead relatives. Similar observances occur elsewhere in Europe, and there are similarly themed celebrations in many Asian and African cultures.

I think ‘Day of the Dead’ is an interesting festival because it celebrates the cycle of life and death and honors the deceased with joy and humor.  It is a unique blend of ancient Aztec traditions and Christian holidays, and it showcases the rich and diverse culture of Mexico and other Latin American countries. Some of the activities that people do during Day of the Dead are:

1. Creating colorful altars with candles, flowers, food, and personal items to welcome the spirits of their loved ones.

2. Painting their faces as skulls or dressing up as La Catrina, a famous symbol of the festivity.

3. Writing funny and witty verses called calaveras literarias to poke fun at living friends or celebrities.

4. Eating special foods like bread of the dead and sugar skulls.

5. Visiting cemeteries and having picnics with their families and friends.
