The new technology that changed history the most during World War I was machine guns because they were portable and automatic weapons. I say they changed history because they helped soldiers when clearing opposing trenches. Not only could they be shot in a short amount of time with rapid bursts but they also killed many defending soldiers. They were also one of the most important weapons of World War I.

With this firepower it had enough damage to kill an emery with on single shot in hip fire or close range. Also was equipped with a bayonet

New technology that changed history the most during WWI was poison gas because it killed many soldiers and caused PTSD. Poison gas ate away internal organs, caused blisters, severe skin burns, vomiting, coughing, chest pain, shortness of breath, blindness, etc. This caused shell shock (PTSD) in soldiers. This made soldiers get scared if they felt any internal pain because it takes 48 hours for poison gas to take effect. There were a million casualties due to poison gas in the war.

Flamethrowers change World War I the most because it showed people how to burn people alive . It also show people how to use fire for harm and how it can scare people for life. Also Germany was the first one to use flamethrower . Another thing was that the flamethrower that Germany used was cable of firing a jet of blaze that was 20 yards long.
