The songbirds can be seen in the cages hanging onto the ceiling of a structure.It also shows passers-by being amazed with the sounds of the songbirds chirping around.The owners in this video are also being grateful (why grateful? not explained?) that the passers-by are appreciating the talent by the songbirds.

I think the people in the video are feeling relaxed when they listen to the birds chirp as it is their hobby.The video shows a park full of songbirds . The birds are kept in specific cages and are made to sing . Some people enjoy the sounds of the birds chirping as it’s very therapeutic. Some people bring their own birds and leave it there for other people to enjoy the birds chirping. If i was there i would also try to appreciate the songbirds. Personally, i used to have a neighbor that had a few song birds and in the morning and late afternoon they always chirp. Some times i even go up to the cage and play with them. I feel intrigued by the birds chirping and would like to own a songbird one day as it was always a dream of mine since young. However some people might not like this hobby as to the it might be very noisy or a source of noise pollution. personal resp devp to some extenet; vocab is OK;

No, I would not enjoy having a hobby like this. Once I was walking past one of these bird shelters. I heard a ear-piercing sound coming from the shelter. I was curious and decided to enter the shelter. I saw many colourful birds in cages hanging on the hooks at the end of the pole. I thought they were pretty so I went to get a closer look. That's when a bird screeched into my ear, the sound was deafening. The stench was unbearable too. I immediately turned away from the shelter and headed home. I decided I would never go near a bird shelter. I learnt the hard way that this hobby was not for me. However, I can understand why some people would enjoy this hobby. It is a great way for bird lovers to interact through discussing about their birds and make new friends. But I would not own a bird because I wouldn't have time to take care of it. I have a busy schedule and including looking after a bird would make it more hectic. Good use of vocab, personal response developed; good job!

Yes, i would enjoy having a hobby like this. i have often seen these kinds of birds underneath my house at the void deck, i always take a few seconds to appreciate the sound created by the songbirds in the past my grandfather owned a bird like this and it sang every morning and i loved waking up to the sound of the bird chirping.although i have never owned a pet if given the chance i would enjoy taking care of a songbird as i would be able to nurture the bird by caring and developing its chirping.

personally i already have hobby which is sports. i play many sports like basketball, water polo, i even weight lift. my parents enrolled me in sports from a young age and ever since i have been hooked on to sports. Good devp of personal response; vocab can be better

Personally i would not enjoy having a hobby like this , because im not an animal person , and from the video i can tell that they are very noisy.With my hectic schedule in school , i do not have the time and facilities to take care of a pet. From my experience i have taken care of a pet before. It was my auntie's dog. It was during the December holidays when she went on vacation and she entrusted us with her beloved dog, coco. It was not a pleasant experience, as i needed to clean after the dog all the time, i would also have to take time to bring them for walks. Moreover ,it would bark nonstop in the night due to the unfamiliar environment. Thus i conclude that taking care of animals would not be a hobby of mine. Instead , a hobby of mine would be playing the piano. i have been learning the piano since i was young as my parents suggested i should take up something as a hobby. as the years go by i grew a passion for piano and decided to continue learning it, even till now. at times when i am feeling bored or just want to relax, i would play a lovely melody of <canon in D >. My passion for piano allowed me to be more relaxed and calm when facing difficulties in life. it played a huge role in managing my emotions, for example a stressful exam is coming up , i would then face the piano and start to calm myself down instead of venting it out on myself .

I agree with the statement. Firstly, it is important as it provides us a a sense of identity and makes us unique. Having a sense of identity makes us who we are as a person as there is a sense of belonging to one's heritage and culture. For example, it is a traditional practice for Malay people to eat with their hands rather than using utensils. Another example is Chinese people burning joss paper as it is believed to be money for the ancestors in the afterlife. Both races have their own practices that they do as it is part of their culture. Though nowadays, fewer people would carry on their culture as there are mix culture with western culture.
Secondly, people bringing everyone together.

I agree that it is important to preserve our traditions and customs. Firstly, traditions and customs gives us a sense of belonging and reminds us of where we came from. Some of these traditions and customs are for example, the celebration of Chinese new year and mid autumn festival. During chinese new year, locals would come together for a reunion dinner and have a dish called lohei(also known as yusheng).

I think that it is important to preserve traditions and customs.

Firstly, I believe that keeping the tradition alive helps us foster a sense of belonging. During Chinese New Year celebrations, it is a tradition for our relatives to gather round a table and share a meal on the eve of Chinese New Years, specifically steamboat and have some time to catch up with each other. Personally, I feel that it is a time for us families to bond and catch up with one another lives as some of us have busy schedules which may be

Secondly, it connects us with our ancestors. Our ancestors have started and continued and it is important to remember our ancestors as they have built the foundation of our country which have brought us to where we are today-the one of world’s most expensive country.
For example,

It shapes our identity

I think it is important to preserve traditions. Firstly, by preserving our traditional culture, it would enhance our sense of belonging in the place that we are in, this also ensures thay traditions like this wouldn't be lost in the span of time. With a stronger sense of belonging, it will make more Singaporeans feel included. For example when Singaporeans gather together for festivals like Christmas, it enhances the culture and traditions that we have practiced for decades. When people come together as one to celebrate for the festival,it will create a stronger sense of belonging and also make everyone feel more included. Secondly , by preserving traditions, it will allow the next generation to flourish it
