On the one hand, gap year may result in some thorny issues. The first disadvantages is that taking a gap year means that they have one more year to learn but it inadvertently distract young people from their academic goal. Moreover, another drawback is that people who have a gap year will feel hard to adapt educational environment when going university. Especially those who follow theory heavy subjects because of the fact that working requires a lot of practise and experience.

          On the other hand, there are some benefits that would arise. First of all, people have to recognise the fact that not all famillies can afford to send their children to university so spending a year on work is a good way to deal with this problem and studying will become easier- it is impossible to be able to focus on studying while always worrying about money. Another positive aspect is that people can realise what is their favourite works. In fact, there are many students who do not know what they want to study or just study for their parents’ expectation. This problems can be solved if they a spend a year on experiencing different jobs. For instance, Reality has shown us that there are many young people drop out of university to do what they love and they feel happy about it.

          All things considered, There are both pros and cons of having a gap year but I think advantages overweight. If people do not confident in themself, it is better to take a break but if they know what they should study, they ought to go to university.
