When I was a lot younger, I met my best friend! We're actually cousins so we met at a family party. Memory is pretty foggy but she & I first talked while at a playground & from then on, we always hung out & kept in contact.

In 4th grade, I listened to this youtube video that was a compilation of songs put together as a playlist & I really loved it. It was what got me really into music & exploring different genres.

In elementary school, I had an after school teacher who liked anime & drew. It was the first time I had a teacher whose interests aligned with mine & he would always make drawings for me, at my request or not. He inspired me to pursue art more seriously.

I cut my hair for the first time in middle school & it was male short. My mom didn't really approve of it but I was pretty happy with it. It made me really open to trying new things with my appearance, whether the people around me liked it or not.

Whenever my sisters would come over, they'd always do makeup on me & let me in on things I was probably too young to understand. They always made me feel included & gave exposure to songs, media, & life that I had yet to know.

In summer of 2021, I pierced my septum by myself in the bathroom. I was really nervous & shaking a lot, but when I took too long, I (literally) pushed through & got the jewelry in. Doing something like that was definitely a learning curve, but it gave me experience in things that may seem scary at first.

On one particular night, my best friend was streaming Elden Ring to me. I asked him all these different questions about the game & he'd answer every one of them. For the first time ever, him talking & just watching him play made me feel so distinctly serene; it was a feeling I never felt before.
