My Youth In Mission Journey by cindy

Starting from August, me and my friends started preparing for our Youth in Mission Program. We started off by finding places for our service, then creating proposal and planning out our activities there. Here, everything still felt so-so about this service and was still clueless about the program.

However, I still had to be ready for Youth in Mission. So, I decided to just go with the flow.

First Destination

On September 16th, we went on to start our Youth in Mission program. We went to TK Tiara for our first destination. After we arrived at TK Tiara, I saw and felt a quite big difference from the school that I where I am now. It made me realize how lucky I was to be able to go to a good school.

First, we painted the walls in a room in the school. Then, we continued by teaching the kindergarten students the next day. And finally after teaching, on the same day, we continued to paint the wall with some paintings.

Going to TK Tiara made me feel happy because I can share God's blessings together with other people there. There, I learned on how to be able to channel God's blessings to others, share happiness, and help others.

Second Destination

On September 18th, we went to Kidea Kindergarten to do our Youth in Mission service.

First, we learned how to teach the students subjects such as English, Math, and Mandarin. Next day, we helped to lead the students during P.E session and did some story telling in Mandarin. On our last day of personal mission, we helped the students in art & craft lesson and did some story telling in Mandarin and English.

Having our last 3 days of Youth In Mission in Kidea Kindergarten made me feel really thankful for being able to have the opprtunity to have this experience. The teachers in Kidea were really helpful for us. We were blessed to be able to have the experience to learn how to teach the kids.

Being able to share God's blessings for 5 days was such a blessing for me. I was blessed to able to experience many new things during the Youth in Mission. Because this was my first Youth in Mission, I was grateful that I met a lot of kind people that helped me a lot during this personal mission.

After I finished my personal mission, I learned that sharing joy and blessings with others can make me feel better than keeping them all to myself. I also thank God because God gave me the opportunity to share blessings with others, without God I wouldn’t be able to have the chance and participate in this amazing Youth in Mission.
