         <title>Towns and Trade Grow</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Towns started to appear around the year 1000 A.D.  The population started to increase so the trade increased with it.  The knights started to want money instead of land and the crusades led even more people to the towns.  </div>]]></description>

She married King Louis VII of France making her the queen, but later, she dumped him for King Henry II of England, making her a queen for the second time!  She eventually gave birth to Richard the Lionheart.  </div>]]></description>

         <title>Manor Life</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The lords had serfs farm for them and the lord also owned the estate. There was one house for the lord (it might also be a castle) and there was one church to pray at. All manors needed a field and water source to farm near. A forest nearby was essential for wood. Each manor also had a mill and blacksmith shop. The lord collected the taxes and made the laws. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Peasants</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The peasants were the lowest on the feudal scale. They didn't own land, so they worked on a small piece of their lords land. The children tended the sheep and chickens while the parents farmed. They couldn't leave, they didn't have education, had to make their own clothes, but received protection from their lords. </div>]]></description>

They could accept fiefs from several lords, but they might have to serve to much then.  They commonly wore suits of armor and fought on horseback.  </div>]]></description>

         <title>Nobles</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Nobles were the vassals of the kings.  They were also the lords of lower nobles and knights.  They would fight for the king, and in return, they would gain some land.  The more land, the stronger the noble.  Occasionally, the nobles would give the stronger ones food ad shelter if they needed it, and on even rarer occasions, money.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The kings and queens were the greatest and most powerful lords. In order to become one, you need to be born into it. The monarchs had the knights and nobles as their vassals.  They built castles for their protection and had even more protection from the vassals in return for land.  </div>]]></description>
