- Student can use a ruler to place under the line they are reading.

- Provide text in larger font to reduce the crowding of words on the page. This may help him not to loose his place while reading.

- Encourage the use of a pencil grip. Student will need to try and few and find the one that is the most comfortable.

- Encourage practice in a range of contexts. This can include using a whiteboard pen that is the same size as a regular pen and asking the student to record thoughts/ideas on a whiteboard instead of using a pen and paper. It's easy to erase if they're not happy with it.
