What they were about - I dont know! At home, my mother would also read a weekly magazine called TV y Novelas.  She continues to read this magazine weekly.  This magazine I was allowed to read and it was about current events, tv novels that were airing at the time and mainly Mexican Artists.  These magazines were in Spanish.

In reference to Isabel Allende my favorite book is titled " La Casa De Los Espiritus. During my college years I was already married and had my first son. My son's favorite book at that time was " The Little Engine That Could". He would have me read it to him over and over again. This was the time I was most exposed to reading Children's books.

I read a book to them everyday. Sometimes we read for enjoyment and other times I read aloud books that go with the lesson planned. I read aloud to my students everyday that if they are not read to at home; they are for sure read to in my class. I want to instill in them the love for reading.
