Instead women made the WAAC which let them train and do things along side men with equal pay and rights. The only thing women couldn't do was actually get on the battlefield and fight. A total of 150,000 women had joined the military to help fight again the Axis powers in their own way.

The lack of men due to the drafting and everyone going to war caused women to step up. Women had taken over most of the factory jobs, fram jobs, and other jobs that lacked because of the missing men. Military leaders refused to let women join the army due to fear of the public opinion. So many women decided to instead work from the home front to support our troops with the materials and weaponry. Five million women had entered the workforce during the time of World War 2.

During the war the president decided that we needed to majorly increase the production of war time objects and machines. The first order of business was to limit how many tires a car owner could have which was set to 5. After that limitations on how many cars, tires, metal type writers, bicycles, stoves and rubber shoes you could own or buy. The second order was to limit how much butter, coffee, sugar, cooking fat, gasoline, and non-rubber shoes that citizens could buy. In the end of it all over 25% of all purchases during World War 2 were deemed illegal.

Rationing was one of the top priorities at the home front in World War 2. Since most of the production turned to the military they couldn't produce as much of the basic home necessities. So the U.S government asked and enforced all Americans to start rationing to order fair distribution of the goods. That way no more Americans were wasting food or making some Americans starve because of the wealthier buying all of a certain product. Per week you were allowed 2 oz of butter, 8 oz of sugar, 2 oz of cheese, half a pound a month of jam, 4 oz of ham and bacon, 1 egg, 4 oz of margarin, 2 oz of tea, 4 oz of sweets, and 3 pints of milk.

The U.S government needed money desperately to keep afloat in the war. So the government decided to ask the American people to pitch in. So the idea was that the U.S would distribute war bonds to everyone who pitched in. The more war bonds they bought the more money they would receive in return after the war had ended. This was to ensure that the U.S could still fight in the war. A total of 180 billion dollars worth of war bonds were bought in World War 2

The war production board was established in 1942 with the executive order of 9024. Franklin D. Roosevelt established it in order to make more war time products. The military was struggling to keep up with other countries because of the lack of production. So the president decided to make a order that made factories switch from basic home goods to war productions. So car shops were turned into buildings airplanes, tanks, and military vehicles. Before this order was made the U.S produced more than 3.65 million cars and after the order dropped to less than 1.15 million.

The office of war information was a agency created by the government. It was founded in June 1942 in attempt to start propaganda against our enemies. The office was in charge of making posters, cartoons, or anything else that would paint a negative imagine on the Axis powers. The government mostly used this to avoid unpopular opinion against them. The agency lasted 3 years and made a couple thousand posters showing how "bad" the Axis powers were.

The internment was a relocation of 120,000 Japanese American citizens to camps. They lost almost all their belonging and were forced to stay within these camps. If they chose not to join the Military they had to stay within the camps to prevent spies from entering the U.S. The German Americans and Italian Americans were not put in these camps so it caused lots of speculation as to why it was only Japanese Americans. There was a total of 10 camps and a total of 1868 of the Japanese American people within the camps died. After the war the government formally apologized and gave 22,000 dollars to every single Japanese American person within those camps.
