Vernon, author of a research papers on the Florida Caverns, try to capture the essence of the caverns- both describe how these caverns formed, but Vernon does it analytically while Cottingham does it poetically.

Restated Thesis for Conclusion:

Vernon and Cottingham so expertly captured the essence of the Florida caverns in there pieces of writing, as Cottingham uses a poetic air to the approach while Vernon contrasted it with an analytical manner of writing. (Jorge)

Charles Cottingham, a poetic writer and Robert O Vernon, an analytical author both try to capture the essence of the Florida Caverns. (Cecilia)

While Vernon explains the Florida caverns using descriptive writing and details, Cottingham makes his view of the cave into a beautifully written poem that gives comparisons of the cavern and its content to other beauteous objects. (Anthony Cabrera ).

Period 6:

Thesis in the intro:

Though Cottingham and Vernon's writing style differ, their viewpoints are very similar.

Restated Thesis for Conclusion:

Both Cottingham's and Vernon's perspective are equal despite their contradictory form of writing. (Nicole)

Even if Cottingham and Vernon's writing are quite contrary their evidence shares common ground.
