The key concepts are: form, function, causation, change, connection, perspective, responsibility, and reflection.
These concepts can be used by the teacher in order to ‘shape the unit, giving it direction and purpose’.
The concepts should be presented to the students as broad, open-ended questions as this will encourage students to think deeply about what they are learning and to ask further questions.
