Question : If you were in the video/photo, how’d you feel ?
Answer : In the photo/video, we can see a family enjoying their day by having a simple walk down Orchard Road, they seem to really enjoy each other’s company. If I were in the photo, I would feel very happy. This is because it is a rare opportunity to find time between our different and busy schedules, getting to spend time with our family members. Through this, I’d get to reflect on whether I have spent enough time with my family members or if I really understand them well enough. This is also an opportunity for us to relax, strengthen our kinship and enjoy each other’s presence. Therefore, if I were in the photo, I’d feel very happy as I get to be around loved ones and appreciate their presence whenever possible.

Q2) How do you normally spend time with your family? If so, How?

response: no, i do not usually spend time with family. firstly, due to our tight schedules and the gruelling amount of work we have on our plates, we rarely have time to spend with each other. since i have school in the morning and my parents work the night shift, there is only small window of time we get to interact with each other. My weekends are spent mugging for exams and attending tuition classes, hence leaving little to no time for my family. At times, i feel that i am closer to my friends than family since i am see them mostly at school. However due to the recent outbreak of the corona virus, i finally get to spend more quality time at home with my family. This is certainly a blessing in
disguise as it has provided me an opportunity to reconnect and bond with my family again. Although my complex and busy lifestyle robs me away from my family I hope in future, i can maintain this amount of
time spent with family and preserve healthy relationships with my loved ones.

How has family time changed over the years?

Answer: I believe that over the years, such time used for family varies from family to family. The recent COVID-19 virus has caused the world to change drastically and such changes include staying at home and working at home. As a result, most families have more time to spend with each other as they are all stuck at home together. Upon staying at home due to implementation of home based learning, I have realised that I have spent more time with my family as compared to before. Before the pandemic, we would barely have enough time to eat dinner with each other as we'd be preoccupied with our own things but now, we eat all of our three meals together. However, I also have seen instances of families spending less time with each other nowadays. even with the circuit breaker. This might be due to unwillingness to interact with one another or maybe even a deeper issue. Therefore, the amount of time spent with one's family over the years has changed, but it varies with each family.

i would stand in a long queue for food. a long queue may represent that a restaurant is famous for its tasty delicacies, hence it would not be a surprise for me to want to stand in a long queue. even so, if a food was for a limited time, i would definitely stand in a long queue to get the chance of trying it. waiting in a queue is like a challenge that you have to overcome first, before getting awarded. it makes the entire meal more worth while, rather than getting it right away. it triggers our taste buds to work harder, so we savour the food more. plus i wouldn't mind waiting for hours even if i am absolutely starving, for a food that i crave for. it's like saving money for something more expensive that you prefer than to waste whatever you have right now. food is always worth the wait, no matter what. i remembered once i had to wait in a queue for about an hour or two for Astons. it wasn't that bad of a wait since the food definitely did taste much more delicious as compared to the other days i had it. i believe that other fellow singaporeans would agree with my view as well. singaporeans have a habit of queueing up for something they like, this will then help boost the sales and popularity of a restaurant. a long queue also means that there are many good reviews about a food, so that is a deciding factor for me to join a long queue for food. however, with the current pandemic getting more and more severe due to the recent cluster, i tend to reconsider whether it's worth it to risk my life in order to get my cravings. it's also important for singaporeans to not queue up which creates a cluster, because then we would go back to our circuit breaker mode.

Hands-on learning is a form of education where children learn by doing and taking action. This type of learning is effective as instead of simply listening to a teacher or a lecturer teach on a particular subject, hands-on activities allows students to engage with the subject matter to solve something or to create something. This gives students the free will to become more creative and have more practice the skills they have already learnt. However, in my opinion, hands-on learning may not be the most effective way to gain knowledge as there are other methods that enable students to learn - some of these include visual, auditory and reading or writing learning styles. There are certain students who are more inclined towards these types of learning styles and may benefit them more compared to hands-on learning.

One outdoor activity that I enjoy doing is cycling. I got into cycling as my friends invited me to cycle at Pulau Ubin as a treat for finishing our end-of-year exams so that's where my passion to learn how to cycle began. At the start, I did not know how to cycle so the experience of trying to balance the bike and pedal forward at the same time was grueling for me, as I fell down many times during the process. However, after actually being able to move forward without falling on the bike for the first time, I gained a very memorable, satisfying sense of achievement that I definitely cannot forget. Hence after many rounds of trial and error, i was finally able to ride a bicycle confidently.

So after learning how to ride a bike, I was finally able to join my friends and cycle on Pulau Ubin. It was very cool to cycle with the air blowing past my face, while being able to relax at the same time with my friends away from the hustle and bustle of school life. It was also very interesting to see myself push against my physical limits as I rode uphill, while my friends did it with ease. Long story short, my experience of cycling was very fruitful as it taught me to be patient and not rush the process of learning to cycle. It was also very nice to see my hard work pay off with me being able to cycle without any major issues, although im still learning. My time cycling at Pulau Ubin was also very fulfilling as I learnt more about the bikes like switching gears and being able to destress and have fun.

Yes, I do agree. There's a very similar saying, which is that it's all about the journey, not the destination, which in less philosophical terms and more directly means that no matter the result, what matters is how you got there, what you had to sacrifice to get there or even what you gained trying to get there, and if someone were to focus solely on the end results, they'll most likely view the learning of a particular subject as just some other ordinary mundane task. Which if I really am as relatable as I think I am, they'll won't even feel motivated enough to even learn that subject. For instance, when it comes to learning the various topics in mathematics, everyone's learning the same same thing but each individual goes through different forms of learning to reach that goal, some more enjoyable than others, I personally, seem to be more attentive and participative when I'm learning while having fun.

I would be interested to go to a book fair like this because there seems to be a lot of books to select from. In the video, the books are stacked book after book, there is just so much to explore. I can browse though the big selection for a suitable book. Comparing book fairs with book shops, a book fair certainly have much more books to offer. There is a better chance of finding a suitable book which I can immerse myself in. Anyone’s reading skill will certainly improve if they read. I want to improve reading skills too. Hence I would be interested go to a book fair. I personally have never been to a book fair, but i am very interested to go to one. Currently, i borrow books from the library because they are more cost efficient and more books are available for browsing so i dont have to check up on book choices beforehand. I recently picked up a book on psychology which i do not really understand. However, it was still a good pick because i can kill some time by trying to understand.

One of the most popular sports among youths is Basketball. Basketball is a fast-paced team sport played by two teams of usually up to five players each on a court having a raised basket or goal at each end, points being scored by tossing the ball through the opponent's basket. The immense adrenaline rush from getting points in, the split seconds where you have to instinctively make quick decisions on who or where to pass to makes it all the more thrilling. Basketball promotes social interaction and strengthens bonds between those who play it. I personally enjoy this game because of its inclusive nature where people of diffrent abilities and skillsets in the game can get together to play the game. The game allows us to appreciate each others strengths while embracing each others weaknesses. The game has led me to making many friends too. I can also learn values such as teamwork and sportsmanship from the game. Furthermore baskteball also trains ability to focus and trains motor skills such as coordination and communication skills.

The popularity of basketball can be seen among many youths also enjoy watching NBA as much as playing it as NBA has an extremely high viewership. Furthermore figures like stephen curry and basketball players with humble beginnings have played a big role in inspiring youths who watch basketball with the message that you can achieve your goals as long as you work hard.

Next , it allows us to keep fit, promoting a healthy lifestyle. Many youths today might live a sedentary lifestyle gaming going on social media much and exercising little, resulting in youths leading a very unhealthy lifestyle. Basketball helps to improve one's physical fitness and works most of the major muscle groups in our body and improves one's overall immune system allowing people to be less susceptible to illnesses. Therefore basketball is an enjoyable way to excersise and has many health benefits.

I really do enjoy basketball and hope that I can play again after the covid measures are lifted and play it with my friends once again

I would definitely enjoy the activity shown in the video. The video shows a lady watering and tending to her plants to ensure that they are getting all the nutrients they need to grow properly.

Having been raised in a plantation in Malaysia, I was exposed to the concept of gardening since I was a child. I enjoy gardening as it has taught me many life lessons, one of which is that "consistency pays off". The amount of effort you put into cultivating your plants, diligently watering and checking up on them to ensure that they are getting everything that they need in order to grow, is an important step to prevent anything detrimental that may affect the plant's growth. Although these tasks can get mundane and repetitive, it is the collection of all these little persistent efforts that will allow for the plant to flourish. Watching a little sprout blossoming into a full-grown plant really gives me a sense of accomplishment and reminding me again that the amount of work that I put in did not go to waste, and also teaching me about the importance of patience along the process.

This life lesson does not only apply to gardening, it can also be used in a myriad of other ways too. For example, this year I am taking a very important examination that may ultimately decide the course of my future. If I put in the effort of studying and preparing early now until the day of the exam, hopefully I will be able to reap the fruits of my labor in the end by achieving good results. (fingers crossed)

There are many ways that I can do to help save the environment, even the simplest things I do at home, in the community or even online could make a difference.
Some ways I can do to help save the environment is that at home, I could take shorter showers in order to save water, and when washing our hands or food items like vegetables or fruits, I could turn off the tap when not in use. I could make sure to turn off my lights and television when not in use, and I could also use fans more instead of air conditioners. Adding on, when I am cooking my meals, I can collect the water that was used to wash my ingredients to water my plants at home. For example, I could use the water that I used for washing rice to water my plants.
Next, in the community, I could use reusable bags when going to buy groceries from the supermarket and use water bottles to buy drinks like bubble tea or coffee to reduce plastic waste. I could also volunteer to participate in cleanups in my community to pick up litter or to participate in programmes that aim to help the environment such as planting trees. I also could recycle my unwanted items such as old newspapers, milk cartons and plastic containers. And I will recycle these items in the recycle bins which are located under my block.
Lastly, another way I can help save the environment is to spread awareness and educate. I could spread awareness by sharing posts about saving the environment on social media to encourage people to play their part in saving our environment. I could also plan presentations about how we can play our part to save the environment and present to my school to educate my fellow schoolmates and teachers.

3. How far would you agree that having green spaces in built-up areas is vital to the well-being of a community? ( jadon )

Firstly, I would agree that having green spaces in built-up areas is vital to a community as green spaces such as parks, sports fields, forests, lakesides, gardens and reservoirs give people the space for physical activity, relaxation, peace, and an escape from the heat and hectic pace from society. This allows citizens to unwind and relax from the frantic pace of civilisation. For example, whenever I feel stressed out for my examinations, I would take a break by asking my parents whether I could take a walk at my nearby park to de-stress and enjoy the scenic beauty of mother nature.

Secondly, with these green spaces in built-up areas, organisers can organise events such as competitions classes. One example is having green spaces like Gardens By The Bay allows organisers to host a running race called Garmin The Performance Series. I participated this race in 2019 and it compromises from a 5k to a half marathon. In this race, I participated in the Mens 10km Competitive Run. Whist running this gruelling 10km, I got to enjoy the glistening sparkles of rivers and the panoramic view of the plants around Gardens By The Bay. Thus, having green spaces in built-up areas is essential in built-up areas like Singapore.

Lastly, green spaces allows relaxation and calamity. This is because after dismissal from school and literally heading straight to our buildings, it would be very normal, very monotonous. However, with green spaces around us, it would allow us citizens to bond with our friends and family, making the green spaces an outlet for us to wind down and connect better with our loved ones.

And in the next clip, the video shows the same old lady recycling more plastic bottles and newspaper.

So from this video i can tell that this old lady really feels that recycling is important for our environment and she also cares about it as she had shown us her efforts to recycle all the waste she had, like gathering all the bottles and newspaper she had so that she could recycle, and i do not think that anyone can just find that much recyclable waste in their house just with a quick glance, so i could tell that the lady put in effort to look for anything that she is able to recycle and even divides the different materials and label them. this shows that she feels that recycling is important for our environment and cares for it

I do not think that I will be able to go zero-waste. I can't see myself adopting a zero-waste lifestyle with the way things currently are. Living a zero-waste lifestyle means that you live a life that produces little to no trash and you avoid most packaged items by either shopping in bulk, buying second hand, or just living without it! A Zero Waste lifestyle is also very dependent on specialty stores. Without a package free store there’s no way to purchase things like rice, pasta, and other staple food without plastic. Even though these stores may be available, they are only available at specific locations which may not be convenient. Other than that, they have a very limited selection of items and it is impossible to purchase everything from these stores. Therefore, living a zero waste lifestyle might not be very feasible in the long run.

At home, I also do not practice separating my rubbish into different categories such as liquid waste or solid rubbish and my parents do not emphasize the reason and the importance for going zero-waste so I think the partial reason for me not being able to lead a zero-waste lifestyle may be because I have not cultivated this habit since young.

However, I can still contribute towards a zero-waste nation by doing small acts such as donating unused items in good condition and eliminating the use of single-use items, for example keeping my own reusable water bottle on hand rather than buying new plastic bottles from the grocery store.

3. Some people say that natural environments, like our seas, are more threatened than ever. What is your opinion?(junhan)

No, I disagree. Yes, the seas and its coastal systems are threatened by intense anthropogenic pressures including rapid accumulation of marine litter by diverse human activities but the aftermath of these activities also threatens the lifestyle and survival of many creatures, land or sea. As ocean littering affects the waters, it also affects the marine creatures and even human beings. And since about 97 percent of Earth's water is in the ocean and the ocean covers more than 70 percent of the surface of our planet, when ocean littering occurs, it reduces the amount of clean water we can produce as contamination of precious water sources means we need to use more advanced and expensive methods of purifying the water to be drinkable. Over 80% of marine pollution comes from land-based activities and most of the waste we produce on land, like plastic bags, eventually ends up in the oceans, either through deliberate dumping or from run-off through drains and rivers. Plastics often contain substance that can harm animals and humans and such toxins and other harmful chemicals are released into the ocean area, which eventually are absorbed by the plastic, which marine animals and seabirds mistakes them for prey and eventually choked to death. All of these toxins also penetrate the fatty tissue of marine organisms which will end up in the food chain. And those at the end of the food chain, like humans, are especially at high risk. This shows that the sea is being threatened greatly by ocean pollution but this also mostly impacts the living things as we have to face the dire consequences for devastating an important place to our survival as water sources and food supplies from the ocean are being reduced.

Especially during this Covid19 period where everyone is encouraged to stay at home, most people would try learning new skills as a productive way to spend the time away. As for me, it took me a long time to learn how to read properly and fluently. I could not read a sentence without misreading a word when I was in primary school as i had dyslexia. I would usually confuse visually similar letters such as "b" and "d", or "p" and "q". My parents told me to read more often as that could improve my condition. I started reading books like harry potter. It took me a few years to be able to see a huge improvement and I could finally read more fluently without making mistakes. Through this i learnt the values of being resilient and having patience.

i strongly agree with the statement “you are never too old to learn”. i think that age does not determine what someone can do as age is just a number. it is possible to learn new things, at any age. for example, my grandma who is 68 years old started taking up baking classes when she was 62 years old and skating lessons when she was 65 years old. in her class, there were a lot of elderly too and those elderly can skate and bake well. this proves the statement “you are never too old to learn” valid as people who are considered old can and will still learn and learn well too. however, others might agree with the statement as older people may face some extra difficulties when trying to master certain skills however, it is definitely still possible to learn as long as they are willing to.
furthermore, older people tend to have more experience in doing things and these experience will thus benefit them when picking up new skills too.
for me, even if i grow older, i will still spend time to learn new skills that i find interesting in the future to keep my adulthood more interesting.

(5W 1H)
In the video, some diners were amazed, some were curious about the robot and some did not bother. An uncle kept looking at the robot, at the same time, a girl and a man were also interested. As the girl stood in front of the robot, the robot stopped moving due to the motion sensor that is located at the front, ensuring the safety of the consumers when returning and collecting the trays. It then proceeded forward after the girl ran off smiling. After the man took a photo of the robot he went back to his seat with a big smile on his face. Some people in the food court that passes the robot would take a glimpse. Most diners were not interested because they were glued to their phones or to their conversations.

One interesting class that I have attended is learning how to counsel other people. At first I didn’t know what class to attend since it was compulsory for everyone to pick one, however after much consideration this specific class piqued my interest . This class was taught by an actual counsellor with experience hence it is a reliable source that can be applied in the future. The class teaches basic principles of counselling like how to respond to someone when they are sharing and how our sitting posture may affect how the other feel, sitting with your arms and legs crossed during a conversation may cause someone to think that we are not interested in what they are sharing and it would not be beneficial for both sides. The class was interesting because it wasn’t just any typical class, where you sit down and listen to the lesson, you are asked to be paired up with a partner to practice. Initially, I felt uncomfortable because I am actually an introvert, and I don’t like to interact with strangers given the chance, furthermore if I had to make eye contact. However, I managed to speak up , especially since my partner was an easy-going person, he made the class more fun and intriguing, as I was able to discuss with him and express myself freely without the fear of being misunderstood . The speaker was friendly and knew how to make good jokes, ensuring to lighten the mood. She also happened to be someone I know since young hence making the lesson more comfortable to be in. Overall, this class helped me to improve my social skills and widen my knowledge in the world of counselling. Being a counsellor allows you to understand different groups of people, broadening your perspective in the world. They help others to be more open, have greater self-acceptance, self-esteem and lastly help them to be able to step out of their comfort zone. Hence through this class, it helps you to build your better self, be someone that is dependable and bring out the best in someone else.
Making it the most interesting class I will ever have in my entire life.

Although it is an era whereby technological advancements are at its peak, we can still live without various electronic devices. The main reasons for owning a laptop was its portability and faster processing speed, enabling the users to access the internet quickly and with ease. However, while owning a laptop may bring some advantages, it too can bring along disadvantages.

As time went by and advancements in technology grew, smaller-sized and lighter devices such as smartphones and tablets were created. Smartphones allowed us to browse the web anytime, anywhere. Nevertheless, the small screen size and tiny on-screen keyboard makes it difficult for users to produce content easily, making it impractical. On the other hand, the laptop may be larger and heavier, but it has a larger screen and a physical keyboard to type on, increasing productivity as it allows the user to change between tabs and type faster. Although the laptop brings about more functions and convenience for the user, it also causes a hindrance as a result of its bulkiness compared to other electronic devices when working outside.

Furthermore, due to the spike in the number of COVID-19 cases, home-based learning was implemented and owing to the numerous subjects I take, I personally would like to use a laptop as I have many tabs to toggle. Many students find it favourable to use a laptop while doing their work as they can open as many applications as they like. Hence, having a laptop is essential to help students learn conveniently and efficiently. It really depends on the person buying it, the person may want to work with a more efficient device for a better performance thus a laptop would be recommended,

or they would prefer not to waste their money and work on their smartphone instead as they have all the apps and functions ready when needed.

I would not enjoy fishing like in the video because it would require me to be outside in the sun for long periods of time, which I do not enjoy.

Different people of my age have different activities to do for good leisure time. To me , a good leisure activitiy teenagers can do is hanging out with their friends. They can play their favourite sport or even watch a movie in the cinema together. By doing so, not only they will closer their bond with one another, but they will be able to relieve their stress from school. They can also go on a shopping spree. This would also learn more about their friends on what they love to have. This would benefit them as they would have an idea on what to buy doing their birthday. They can also have a chit chat with one another when they eat in a restaurant, closing their bond even more. Therefore hanging out with one another would closer our relationship with one another and relieve our stress when we have a fun time doing these activities.

However , there is a downside if we hangout with our friends too often. I agree that teenagers have a fun time doing so but doing it excessively would lead to their exam results to drop as they would not have the time to study. Also another example could be that some sports such as bowling need money to pay. Also, usually we would go eat outside after a tiring day of playing sports. This would lead us spending more money than necessary and would have less money to save. Therefore doing it too often would lead to us not saving much money for our future plans and a downgrade in exam marks.

Overall, it is a double edge sword, it depends on how often u spend your leisure time.

3. How far would you agree that nowadays, people do not spend enough time doing outdoor activities? Why? (Aqil)

I agree that nowadays people do not spend enough time doing outdoor activities. This is because the rise of modern technology has allowed mankind to do arguably everything that is required for a day in the comfort of their homes. For example, people can now purchase their sustenance for the day by using online delivery apps such as GrabFood and Foodpanda which brings them their desired cuisines from their favourite eateries in what would feel like a blink of an eye when compared to going over to the eatery in person to buy their meals. Another example of an activity done outdoors that is now commonly seen as an indoor activity is shopping. Shopping for clothing can now be easily done through online websites such as ASOS to buy their everyday apparel and even to the extent of some websites selling designer clothing. With these convenient ways to do outdoor activities indoors, it is very understandable that people prefer to stay indoors rather than go outdoors.

However just as there are two sides to a coin, there are always two views to a question and that is people who spend an essential amount of time outdoors. These people normally include those who are more active in their lifestyle who has to leave their houses in order to satisfy their desire to move their legs. For example someone who is active in sports such as basketball or football will more often than not enough time outdoors to play their said sport. Others who tend to achieve a healthy amount of time outdoors are those who have a more extroverted personality as they would have the need to socialise with others more than one who is more introverted.

Personally, I tend not to spend enough time outdoors as I am usually to tired to leave my room even due to school on weekdays and tuition on weekends as a method to achieve better results for my crucial examinations upcoming in just a few months time which may decide the course of my future. Therefore having being mentally drained from studying takes a toll on my body which results in me feeling lethargic which drives my temptation to stay in rather than go out.

When I was a child, I really enjoyed playing Hide and Seek with my older brother and younger sister. It was a very entertaining and exciting game when I was young where computers and smartphones are not readily available at home. My father and Mother strongly believe that having a phone will speed up the rate of Myopia. Usually, my older brother will win the game as the places that my younger sister and I is always too predictable, places such as under the bed or behind doors. But there was one memorable incident which took place at my house neighbourhood playground. I thought I found a perfect hiding spot to hide which was a thick overgrown bush with a hole that can fit a small body like mine. I happily went inside the hole and use the leaves to camouflage myself. I thought my brother wont be able to find me. I was correct, he did not find me first, the big menacing red ants in the bush did. Iran out of the bush screaming like a headless chicken. My brother thought that he had won, but luckly, he jumped into my rescue when he saw the countless red ants all over my body. I still remember vividly that he used his bare hands to help swipe them off my body. From that day onwards, I had a phobia of hiding in bushes.

3. Do you think it is a good idea for children to learn a lot of skills at an early age? Why, or why not?

I think it's a good idea for children to learn a lot of skills at an early age. They will be more independent and rely less on their parents when their older because they learnt basic life skills like managing money, first aid and cleaning clothes. If the children also know more skills, they can find which one they have a more interest in and develop that skill for a future job. That skill can be problem solving, music, art or computing skills. For me personally, I really enjoy creating and making art ever since I was young so I've been building on and practicing that skill. When I'm older, I might want to sell my art in form of merchandise or do commissions. So learning new skills does help you find a career path.

However, sometimes the process of learning these different skills is difficult or overwhelming for the child. Parents should schedule a reasonable timetable for the kid or plan it with them so that they have more control over their daily activities as well as reduce stress.

I still believe learning a lot of skills is helpful because these skills mostly benefit the children. It can land them a job or help them with their daily tasks when they are an adult. There has been this concern among students and some parents that school doesn't teach them things that will actually benefit them when their older. That's why having skills like fixing car tires, paying taxes or general knowledge of the world is very meaningful for kids. I do see more school teachers talking about issues or news happening now and having open discussions about it with students.

in the video, i see a few men performing on the stage in the middle of the mall, and in front of the stage, there are people selling things.
i feel like the people performing are enjoying themselves as they vibe along to the song, and i see some audience pausing to watch them perform. however there are still some people walking away, minding their own business or even just buying things from the people selling in front of the stage so it would be a little awkward.
at the same time, they would feel upset as they will notice that not many people is focusing on their performance and as a performer, they would love to have many audience watching them perform as they have put in hard work in it.

2. In your opinion, what makes a performance good or bad?

I think a major factor that affects whether a performance is good or bad is the engagement. When i was younger i went to an orchestra with my family and i personally found it boring i think that it was because of the repetitiveness of the performance If I were to pay and visit an orchestra and the whole time it was the same vocals playing over and over again I would definitely feel bored and well ... unengaged.
Another major factor would definitely be personal preference during the orchestra maybe i wasn’t able to appreciate the art of the vocals and the effort put into making the piece.
One good way to increase engagement would be using unusual music or props. This strikes the audience with wonder and perk their interest in the performance.

3. 'We listen to too many CDs or other recorded music nowadays, and not enough live music.' What is your opinion?

I do agree that we listen to too many CDs or other recorded music nowadays one reason could be due to the COVID-19 situation happening right now. we are currently limited with a restraint from attending any concerts or even performances, especially singing, as it is the primary way of transmission for the virus. hence due to the situation, we have to make do with recordings online or even CDs as a way of supplementing live concerts. furthermore, I think that we listen to more CDs and other recordings is also due to the fact of it being a cheaper and convenient method of enjoying and appreciating music. CDs and recorded music are already made available everywhere, from apps to even websites. personally, the app TikTok has opened more doors to different genres of music. being a music fanatic, i am open to listening and appreciating different kinds of music! being a lazy couch potato, i do listen to recorded music more often. CDs on the other hand, is no longer available as much as in the early 2000s so i can't say much about it however, i do own some christmas CDs at home. overall to me, it may be an affordable option for those who prefer watching or listening at the comfort of their home.

However there are some aspects where I disagree with in terms of listening to more CDs or recorded music. Some, or even the majority prefer to go to live performances. I myself go to live concerts when I want to feel fully immersed in the atmosphere. I remember in my earlier days I had gone to the One Direction live performance in the Singapore Stadium when I was young and it was truly a great difference in terms of the feelings and the atmosphere as you can see the life people performing in front of you as compared to through a screen. hence even though it may be a little bit more expensive or cost a few more box it is still overall a worthwhile investment of your money to a certain extent , of which I recommend you to try at least once.

1. Would you ever join a dance like the one in the video? Why, or why not?

(JUNWEI)
The video shows a crowd of people dancing along the with instructor and following the instructors movement. Dance is a type of physical activity that requires you to use your coordination of ur entire body. I personally would not really want to join a dance like this in the video. Because in my opinion I would have a hard time coordinating and learning the choreography of the dance moves. However, I would try my best and would not give up entirely and if I have the chance I would like to participate in this dance with my friends and family once the COVID 19 measures becomes less strict. In the end, dance can benefit me by improving my physical-well being and mental which can comes in handy in daily tasks such as climbing up stairs.

Ultimately in my opinion, I would still love to do other types of physical activity other than dance. One such example is badminton. Badminton is a sport whereby two opposing players will go head to head against each other. The end goal of the sport is for the player to hit the shuttlecock with a racket to cross over the net and land on the opponent’s court. I fell in love with this sport when I was primary 1-2 as I chose it as my CCA.
So , I might be a-bit too biased towards badminton instead of dance.

In conclusion, I feel that both activities are great in their own ways. Not everything is perfect, there will always be flaws but do choose to do the things that you enjoy doing the most.

(LUCAS)
Yes , I would join a dance as shown in the video. This is because , as a secondary 4 student , I am busy with studies and I barely have anytime to include some physical activity in my lifestyle .
Secondly , I would join this activity because I want to join the dance with my family . My parents , my brother and I , have busy lives and this activity would bring us together as a family so that we could have a break from our busy lives and spend time with each other before returning back to our regular schedules. In conclusion I would join the dance like the one in the picture.

2. What is your opinion towards a meat-free diet?

I believe that a meat-free diet is a way to lose weight as meat are usually the main ingredient in the dish. As meats normally contains more calories a dish and removing them reduces calories in put, allowing us to weight more efficiently, as the input of calories is lower, making it easier to burn more calories than taking in.

However, I do not think it is an efficient way to lose weight as after a period of time not eating meat during the meat-free diet, we usually have the urge to eat meat as they have lost their desired weight and wants to reward themselves for the achievement by eating meat, which results in the gain in calories, ending up with nothing changing in the end.

Personally, I have tried this meat-free diet before and it did not went well as I am a meat lover and when my mom cook at home, I could not resist the urge to eat the juicy meat on the table and ended the meat free diet after a day. From that experience I learnt that meat-free diet is not easy without seeking help from others if you are a meat lover, and want to lose weight. Hence, meat-free diet is not effective on my opinion.

3. Many people find exercise boring, What do you think can be done to make it more appealing? (sherlyn)

Personally I get very lazy when it comes to exercises and there are times when I tell myself ' okay I am going to go for a run tomorrow ' but when the day comes, I end up not going. In my opinion, exercising with a friend would be more appealing than exercising alone as they can be a motivation to get out of the house and thus we can exercise together. With a friend, they can push us to continue when we feel like giving up. Together we can even make a fun exercise routine together such as beginning with stretches followed by doing sit-ups, jump rope and going for a run etc or create a workout playlist with songs that keep us on our feet. On the other hand, there are also games that allows us to exercise By playing the game, it not only entertains us, it will also be a good exercise routine. For example, the game Ring-Fit on a Nintendo Switch . The main objective is to complete a race as fast as you can and while doing so, you have to fight off monsters and we actually need to run on the spot to get the character to move, the higher you lift your legs up, the faster your character runs. To defeat the monsters, the moves we get are like lunges and squats and the number of times we do will inflict damage on the monsters. Hence, I feel that there are many ways to make exercises appealing.
