Math Lesson 309
Congrats! You will begin a new book! Guess what that means you only have one more book to go after this one! Fourth grade here you come!
Lesson # 1 (pages. 2-5)
*Learner will first find page iv before the page 1
* Learner will read or listen to a reading of page #1.
*Learner will learn to solve story problems with division
* Learner will remember that equal groups reminds us of multiplication and division
* Learner will be reminded division starts with a bigger number and gets smaller because it is being divided into equal groups

Think about this thought... do you remember when Jesus fed the 5,000 with just a boy’s fish and loaf of bread? Think, Jesus first MULTIPLIED the fish and bread to have enough for everyone and the DIVIDED it out to the crowds to feed everyone. Do you know how much was left over ? If you said 12 baskets you were right. A souvenir for each disciple to remember to trust God with all we have.

Didgeridoo crafts

Steps to follow for craft:
1. Gather materials: paper towel tube, paint or markers, wrapping paper or tin foil, tape
2. Paint your paper towel roll it. Decorate it with symbols. What symbols do Aborigines use? They like to draw kangaroos, emus, water, and water holes. You can even make some symbols up if you like. Dividing your musical instrument up with thick black, green, orange, or yellow wavy lines and patterns make it look like a real didgeridoo. Below is a picture of some example patterns.
3. If you are using wrapping paper: tape wrapping paper over one end of the paper towel tube. Poke a medium sized whole through the wrapping paper.
If you are using tin foil: wrap tin foil over one end of the paper towel tube. Poke a medium sized whole through the tin foil.
4. Let’s try it out! Blow through the end with the whole you made. Remember what he said in the video on how to blow. Vibrate your lips together. If you need a refresher, watch the first part of the video again.
