         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.The best Christmas song of all time in Ireland  is Fairytale of New York.<br>2. On Christmas people in Ireland will jump into the freezing water.<br>3. The Christmas tradition of hanging a ring of holly on the door is thought to have originated in Ireland.<br>4. There is an old christmas tradition that in some Irish houses they will put a big candle in the biggest window in the persons house.<br>5. All Christmas decorations are usually taken down and put away on "little christmas"      </div><div>(January 6th) it is considered very bad luck.<br>6. In both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, 26 December is a celebrated public holiday. In Northern Ireland, though, the date is known Boxing Day, while in those in Republic of Ireland refer to it as St Stephen’s Day.<br>7.Did you know the use of evergreen Christmas trees is a relatively new decoration in Ireland. Historically, holly and ivy were used to brighten up homes during the festive season.<br>8. The traditional dinner on Christmas eve is Turkey and Goose.<br>9.Traditionally in Ireland, at the beginning of the four-week period leading up to Christmas they Decorate their trees with lights, tinsel, And Baubles.<br>10.The Wren Boy Procession has been revived in recent years with parades being held on St. Stephens Day in Sandymount in Dublin and other locations. There are several legends regarding the 'wren boy'.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

Christmas in Ireland is the largest celebration of the year.<br>Population of Ireland in 2016 is 4,713,993. For most of its recorded history, Ireland's culture has been primarily Gaelic.<br>Main languages in Ireland are  English, Irish, Scots, and Shelta.<br>  * Irish Christmas traditions are similar to those in most Western countries. Ireland is a predominantly Christian country and Christmas plays an important role in religious aspects of Irish life. In many homes in Ireland the traditional crib, along with the Christmas tree are part of a family's decorations.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. A Christmas candle in the window, still popular not just in Ireland but here in the US, was long displayed as a symbol of hospitality&nbsp;<br>2. GOAL Miles are held at Christmas in villages, towns and cities right across Ireland. Ten thousand or more people run jog or walk this mile to raise money for GOAL programs<br>3. Around Christmastime you’ll still find the odd farm building out in the Irish countryside that looks like it’s just been whitewashed.<br>They were all covered in white paint or limewash, to symbolically purify them for the coming of the savior.&nbsp;<br>4. One of the most common Christmas traditions in Ireland is to attend Church either at midnight on Christmas Eve or on Christmas morning.&nbsp;</div><div>5.
