Erikson’s third stage (Initiative Vs Guilt)
Preschoolers are eager to explore or learn things around them. They initiate many activities and explore their curiosity.
Tr must be a facilitator and start with praising (positive words) for what they can do. Don’t let children feel guilted for what they have done. Tr also needs to notice that children may make mistakes because they are not mastered enough yet. So, let children notice that they can learn from their mistakes. And support step by step to reach Child’s ZPD.

Understanding others means the ability to be involved in understanding the world around them. Around the age of 4 to 5, children begin to perceive others in terms of psychological traits. They begin to develop the skill of perspective taking whereby they will try to assume the perspective of others and learn to understand others' thoughts and feelings that may differ from theirs.

In initiative versus guilt stage, children begin to engage in many new activities and they like to help adults. They try to define themselves 'what they can do". But adults should encourage in a loving, helful and positive way when they made a mistake. Adults should explain them the consequence of his actions not to feel guilty.
Moreover, child's emotion should be labeled such as " you are hurt" to support socioemotional development because self-emotion come from 'maturity',
