1. Determine/Get a topic, issue or problem to start of with as a guideline.

2. Are you doing a primary or a secondary research?

Primary research - original, not found anywhere, right out your brain

Secondary research - guidelines or tips on the issue from textbooks, web, teachers.

- How to find information? Online, library, firsthand interviews people who can help or assist.

3. Determine in advance how much time you have for this research, 1 week? 2 weeks? and make an estimated or rough schedule on what to do first, etc.

Look at contrasting or opposing opinions or sources rather than only your research topic!

4. Collect your information and sources and prepare a rough draft before starting with the real thing. EG: mindmaps, documents

5. Focus on your research question that you start off with at first, find information that explains, describes, analyzes, contrasts, or gives expert or good opinion and views on it.

6. Compare the information found, section them into groups. EG: - green pen stands for opinions from experts, red pen stands for summaries of longer explainations

7. Compile all the information found online or somewhat and organize them how you want it to be. Page by page, points by points.

8. Practice on your draft before the real document. Example: Doing the draft exactly like how you want the final draft to be. Points, paraphrasings, highlighted key points
