Our restaurant uses Oracle and MICROS systems throughout the establishment to serve the back-office departments and front of the house point of sale systems. At our Niagara Falls location, we do not have any IT professionals onsite so we work with a local offsite company called JMR logics, who sends administrators to us whenever needed. JMR logics’ goal is to “build and maintain the IT infrastructure that keeps Niagara in business”. They work with high volume tourist attractions in the community to provide thorough network support and business saavy technical consulting. For over 25 years they have been advisors who can tie together software, hardware, networks and the web to exceed business goals. JMR ensures that businesses get the most out of their investments in technology by increasing operational efficiencies though intelligent IT strategies and reliable advice on emerging trends. They are well-known for their long-term customer relationships and development of an intimate understanding of their clients’ operational goals, vendor relationships and technical challenges. They are a team of seven professionals, each with extensive knowledge in all areas of IT. I had the opportunity to interview Adam White, the lead software developer of JMR. This interview took place at the JMR headquarters located in Niagara Falls. Adam was able to tell me a bit about what their company does from an insider perspective. While he did explain many of the technical parts of the professions, I was impressed to hear him admit that the most important part of their company is the relationship building with their customers. He reinforced their company’s goal to establish close relationships with their clients and develop a deep understanding of each business they work with. They want to help source and implement the appropriate technical solutions for business needs and empower staff to use the IT assets safely and securely.
