It's about a 12 year old boy named Collin who has OCD. This difference makes him count the letters in what is said to him and say the number before he responds to people. He struggles in school while living with his dad, so he is sent to live with his mom, a member of the Ojibwa tribe that he has never met before. On this reservation, with his new family & friends, Collin works hard to overcome his challenges. This book was a window book for me. I learned what it is like to live with this type of difference, and learned about the beautiful cultural traditions and beliefs of the Ojibwa. Katniss Everdeens little sister gets picked, and brave Katniss volunteers for her sister and goes to the Capitol to play in the hunger games. I loved this book so much I read the sequels and I will read the prequel. It’s about a girl named Lucy who was struck by lightning. This lightning strike caused brain damage and one part of her brain was shut off. Now the other part of her brain is going rapid fire and she is super good at math. She tries her best to keep it a secret but I’m going to leave the rest of the story for the book to tell. I highly recommend it and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
