This adaptation allows them to use less energy when trying to maneuver through the water. Research has proven sharks are resistant to cancer due to high levels of squalene in their body. The group will consist of eight people with the beginning stages cancer, eight people with a history of cancer in their family, and eight people without a history of cancer in their family. From this group of people, I will be able to see if the preventative affects those without a history of cancer, affects those with a history of cancer, and/or causes the cancer to shrink for those with the beginning stages of cancer. I will also complete this study with various animals to see how this affects them.This study will take several years, but the outcome could be groundbreaking for cancer research.
