Usrah role-play

In usrah role-play, my team has disscussed about the topic why our iman always been tested. Our iman always been tested because we are Allah's servant and we were created to worship him. So, whatever the test that we have, please don't give up on Allah. There are multiple ways on how to deal with the test. Deal with it with patience and keep in your mind that "this too shall pass". Lot of people will be there for you and remember that Allah is the one who will always be by your side. <3

I got a lot of information in this usrah session especially about 5 Pillars of Islam which is declaration of faith (Syahadah), obligatory prayer (Salah), compulsory giving (Zakah), fasting in the month of Ramadhan (Sawm), and pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj). Our facilitator, Natasha really makes this usrah interesting. I also learn a lot of new things in this usrah session. From this session, I hope that I can improve myself to become a better person.

To be honest, I don't really have much suggestion because our facilitor really know how to make our session interesting. But the only thing I hope that everyone can do is open their camera except for the one who really have problems. It will make the session more interesting since we can see our friend's face expression through the Google Meet. So that's all. Bye!

In usrah role-play sem 2, my team has disscussed about the topic the benefits of practicing correct amal.

Human was created by Allah SWT and get chosen to live in the world with certain purposes. The main purposes of human creation is to please Allah SWT, the Creator, in everything we do. The question is, how could we please Allah SWT?

Doing as many good deeds as we can while we live is the ultimate answer. Good deeds not only bring us closer to Allah SWT, it also has many benefits.

In surah Al-Kahfi verse 110, Allah say,
"So whoever hopes for the meeting with their Lord, let them do good deeds and associate none in the worship of their Lord."

Ibadah is one of the important components in Islamic teachings other than aqidah (belief) and akhlaq (moral).
By doing ibadah, we can:

strengthening the ties with our family
protects our home
be gratitude and being mindful of Allah
teaches us about humility

2nd week

Salah: to always worship and remember Allah SWT
Sawm: as a way to learn patience and break bad habits
Zakah: to purifies, increases and blesses the remainder of their wealth.
Hajj: help us to be a better muslim with high level of piousness.

3rd week

Khushu in the prayer happens when a person empties their heart for prayer, and focuses on it to the exclusion of all else, and prefers it to everything else.
The site of khushu is in the heart, and its effects are manifested in the physical body. The various faculties follow the heart: if the heart is corrupted by negligence or insinuating whispers from Shaitan, the worship of the body’s faculties will also be corrupt.

4th week

One of the benefits of khushu is that it makes prayer easier for a person. Allah tells us,

“And seek help in patience and al-Salah (the prayer), and truly it is extremely heavy and hard except for al-khashi’tn.” (Surah al-Baqarah 2:45)

The meaning is that the burden of the prayer is heavy indeed, except for those who have khushu. Khushu is therefore very important but it is something that is easily lost and is rarely seen, especially in our own times, which are the last times. The Prophet, SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam, said:

“The first thing to be lifted up (taken away) from this ummah will be khushu, until you will see no one who has khushu.” [Recorded in al-Tabarani]

5th week

Learning self-discipline
Becoming spiritually stronger
Appreciating Allah's gifts to us
Sharing the sufferings of the poor and developing sympathy for them

Zakat is not considered a favor that is given to the poor by the rich. It is the right of the poor on the wealth of the rich. Allah says:

"Zakat, therefore, is unlike charity that is given to the needy voluntarily. Withholding Zakat is considered depriving the poor of their due share. Thus one who pays Zakat actually “purifies” his wealth by separating from it the portion that belongs to the poor."

7th week

Hajj cleanses the soul, bringing purity, hope and renewal. By strengthening individual faith, it also strengthens the unity of all followers of Islam. Ihram clothing minimizes differences between Muslims of different nationalities and social classes. The Hajj, by bringing together so many Muslims in one place at one time, enhances communication and strengthens shared identity.
