Sometimes I have a tough time comprehending an idea or a task, and I have come to realize that I "need to know" why something has to be done a certain way. I also "need to know" how the task or idea might support my learning and the outcomes. Understanding why a procedure works best when done a certain way, helps me fully grasp new ideas and methods. As I continue on my learning path, reading chapters or instructions in a quiet place, along with writing down important words, phrases, or paragraphs, helps me comprehend the material better. Sometimes, I take a picture of my notes, to refer back to them during the day or as needed.
