Here are some rules that should be followed when having this privilege; 
1.) Avoid hurting feelings in an email, which means that not everyone can understand what tone of voice one is using in an email or how one is feeling. This is where emoji's come into play to help people better understand the tone of the conversation. 
2.) Respect! When talking to someone on the internet, children especially need to be careful. Why? This is because someone could receive a threatening email, that can involve the person's home, or harassment. When this happens, the person must be respectful and not create tension toward the other person. If this happens to a child, telling a teacher or a parent isn't a bad idea. 
3.) If Insulted, Remain Calm. This pertains to a conversation, such as texting when the two parties get into a disagreement with each other. This could be because of a misunderstanding in the tone of the conversation. But, when this happens, just try to let it go and not to blow it out of proportion. Simple things such as ignoring the message or asking for an explanation could be potential solutions.
4.) Respect People's Privacy. No matter what is said and who it's said with, secrets are not to be blabbed all over the internet. The same thing goes with addresses or personal interests, and other things as well. 
5.) Be Responsible! Don't be using the internet just to trash talk other people for no reason. There shouldn't be revealing passwords of people's accounts online to others or taking photos from others without their permission either. 
Those are just some of the rules, but if any of them are broken, they can all be examples of Bad Netiquette. However, if these rules are followed and obeyed, then congratulations! This act was initiated by Congress and signed by President Clinton. These are laws to help avoid too much funding being spent through the Library Services & Technology Act. It wants schools and libraries both to not always get discounts from the E-Rate Program. The following are examples of digital citizenship;
1.) Digital Commerce, which has to do with the electronic marketing including buying and selling things. These can include buying music or files from popular websites such as Amazon or iTunes.
2.) Digital Identity is violated when someone on the Internet portrays them self as being someone they're not. They can even pretend to be someone they know and receive information from that person. How is this bad? What if the person gave this hacker crucial or personal information? 
3.) Digital Security is known for protecting information from hackers or viruses. Not every person is good, and some people just enjoy stealing things from others. If I was giving a lesson on Netiquette, I'd ask the students what words they know that relates to using polite words. Then, I'd have 5 students come up to the board and each write a kind word they can think of. Then I would change gears and talk about what words can be hurtful to say. I would expect they'd tell me. Then 5 different students would come up and write their hurtful words they knew. Last, I would have the class look at the board together and compare. I'd use a real-life comparison of virus protection. I'd compare this to the virus hacker being a person who is always sick and spreading their germs, and then having a "doctor" as the virus protector. So, there would be two students needed for those roles. Then, the rest of the class would be computer files who would get "sick" (hacked) by this virus who constantly goes around the students role playing the computers. The students start this game by standing on the rug. Next the "sick" hacker would go around and tap a shoulder. If that's student's shoulder is tapped, then they become "sick" and then have to sit down on the rug. In order to stand up again, the "doctor" virus protector comes and gives a "high-five" to "heal" the hacked computers. It's an interesting comparison because no one wants to get sick, just like no one would want to get hacked. I'd give them a small quiz about the words they chose. The words would all be mixed up, and then they would have to place them into the correct box. There would be two boxes, one that says "kind" the other that says "hurtful".
