Det är viktigt att lära barnen teknik och visa dem att det finns saker i samhället som är uppbyggda av programmering. 
Det finns saker överallt i samhället som har en dator i sig eller har programmerats av någon som vissa kanske inte visste fanns.  
Vissa kanske inte visste att en programmerad dator bara gör det som den som programmerat den till att göra. Människan är inte programmerad och gör så att den kan ta ett eget beslut som att titta på tv på vägen ner till frukosten. Om en robot är programmerad att äta frukost så kan den inte gå och titta på tv.
