In this passage the author used good word use. The character traits really make me feel like I am right next to Annie. I feel like I am with Annie because the author used good words to describe how Annie and her dad were feeling.

This is an example of how Annie doesn't always trust herself. She thinks differently from the other students so she wonders if she has done the assignment wrong. I think that by the end of this book she's going to learn how to trust herself more in school and in her life at home. This shows that even though Annie is not good at something, she can still try. She does not fear what she is not good at. She uses her weaknesses to her advantage to learn what not to do next time. She asks herself these questions, wondering if this is something she is good at or something she should or shouldn't revisit in the future. She can easily control herself at times when she finds something she is good at, and doesn't always trust herself with things that she is not good at.

This shows me how close Annie and Max's relationship is. This also shows what they did and how they have known each other for a long time and that's how they got closer.
